The
International Mixed Martial Arts Association
[IMMAA]**,pronounced
I
[ahy] + MMAA
[mah] was
founded in 2002, as an umbrella alliance for all National &
International Modern Martial Arts Federations, various
associations and practitioners with the aim of friendship
and education between all modern martial arts. We assist by
helping our members becoming better informed and making
themselves known, and cooperating and coordinating their
activities.
The IMMAA presents itself
as an international organisation with a distinct educational
profile as far as its goals, structure, membership and
working bodies are concerned.
Their main purpose is to
serve as an international organisation concerned with the
promotion and education in the mixed martial arts to
contribute to the awareness of human values inherent in the
martial arts and to improve health and physical well-being in
all countries to the highest level.
We are able to
accomplish this because we foster an environment free of
intimidation, politics, and other distracters. Welcoming all
like-minded individuals, regardless of race, gender, ethnic
background, religion, national origin, or physical handicap. |

On
January the 12th. 2010 Haiti was rocked by a catastrophic earthquake
with a magnitude of 7.0 Mw.
The Haitian government has given a confirmed death toll of 170,000
with many more thousands dead in the rubble and outside the capital,
and not including unreported bodies buried by relatives.
Haitian authorities also estimated that 250,000 people sustained
injuries, and as many as one million Haitians were left homeless.
On February the 13th. The I-MMAA and UNICEF are teaming up once
again in time of need to help this poor country and its people. A
Multi Martial Arts Seminar/Fundraiser will be held at “Trinity
United Church”, 76 Doulton St. in London, Ontario.
This event will see many great local martial arts masters come
together for a day of seminars as we raise money for UNICEF and the
people of Haiti.
This day of hands on seminars running from 11AM to 3PM is free with
only a donation to this needed cause.
So stop by and take a hands on part in this great day and help us
help many.
